“Mor bihan” is Breton for ‘little sea’ and this beautiful bay in southern Brittany is renowned for being one of the scenic in the world. Bring your camera and capture some fantastic landscape shots, both on the mainland and around all the small islands and islets that are located out to see in this area.

What is there to do in the Gulf of Morbihan?

Island hopping

The GR® 34 coastal path, which links Auray to Vannes, is perfect for discovering the harbours of Le Bono, Arradon and Conlesau. There are several islands you can visit for a full day’s walk: the Île aux Moines, the even wilder Île d’Arz, and also the Île Berder, which is accessible on foot at low tide.
Relaxing on Conguel Beach

Take advantage of the crystal clear waters near Le Conguel campsite. Just a short walk from the campsite is the fine sandy beach, perfect for families to splash and play.
Boat trips

This area of coastal Brittany is famous for sailing, so take to the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Morbihan and explore this incredible region aboard a small sailboat. Hire a boat or enjoy a guided trip from one of the many towns along the coast.

Salt marches of Salants de Kervillen

Located opposite the Rhuys peninsula in La Trinité-sur-mer, the salt marshes make for an interesting visit. Follow a series of paths , you can explore the constructed salt pans and do some serious bird watching as the area is teaming with wildlife. The nearby dunes and beach is the perfect place to end the day.

Get a taste of the real France by visiting the local markets, close to our campsite in the Gulf of Morbihan. Perfect for discovering local products and savouring the regional cuisine, they are held regularly each week.
Standing stones of Carnac

Brittany's very own version of Stonehenge, these standing stones of Carnac are one of the largest megalithic sites in Europe. These blocks of stone, which date from the Neolithic era, were arranged in a precise order and today form the most imposing megalithic structures on the continent.

This stunning beach is located southwest of our campsite in the Gulf of Morbihan. With its dunes, its rocks and a breathtaking view of the sea, it is the perfect place to swim and sunbathe!

Do not miss the many traditional festivals of Morbihan throughout the summer. The Sea Festival in Vannes, the Filets Bleus Festival in Carnac or the Oyster Festival on the Guérande peninsula... Live a unique experience at the heart of local history and traditions.
