Ready to Make a Splash?

Every Siblu Village in France has its own pool complex, often with an indoor or covered pool, an outdoor pool, slides and a splash zone. But if you’re looking for even more splashtastic fun, check out our roundup of the best water parks in France.

1/ Aqualand Fréjus

Just a 10 minute drive from our Le Montourey village, the Côte d’Azur’s largest water park boasts 19 super water slides on one site, including ‘King Cobra’; the biggest water toboggan in Europe! Alongside that, there’s ‘Vertigo’, an inverted 4-seater thrill ride (that is itself unique in Europe) for the whole family to experience together. Younger kids have their own miniature park and a themed ‘children’s paradise’, and whilst they’re having the time of their lives, adults can chill out at the surf beach or have a relaxing soak in the bubble bath spa.

  • Where to stay:  Le Montourey (6km)

2/ Aqualand Cap d'Agde

One of Aqualand Fréjus’ sister parks, Cap d’Agde has two of the highest water slides in France. At 180 metres long, the Boomerang is the equivalent of a seven-storey building, whilst the Tornado starts at a height of 20 metres and ends with riders emerging at high speed into a giant funnel! There’s lots of beach space to enjoy onsite, as well as a bar, cafe and restaurant. Extremely convenient for our Mediterranean parks, it’s only a 15-minute drive from La Carabasse and half an hour from Les Sables du Midi.

3/ Atlantic Toboggan

As well as all the rides and slides you’d expect from a water park, Atlantic Toboggan also features a variety of other aquatic activities, including pedalos and a wave pool, complete with resident DJ to keep the party atmosphere rocking. Staff are famously friendly and welcoming, and you can bring in your own food and drink – perfect for a family picnic. Based in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, Atlantic Toboggan is perfectly situated for our parks in the Vendée region, and you can book in advance on their website to grab some serious savings on ticket prices.

4/ Canyoning Park Argelès-sur-Mer

If you’re looking for a water park with a twist, Canyoning Park might well be the place for you. Within easy reach of Mar Estang, it gives visitors the full canyoning experience in a totally man-made environment; abseiling down artificial walls and plunging into sea pools. Qualified instructors watch over you throughout the course, and there’s even a viewing gallery for those of us who’d rather stick to living vicariously through other members of the family! Each area has multiple escape routes allowing you to adapt to your own level of comfort, and the park is open to anyone from the age of 10 upwards.

5/ Aqualand Saint Cyprien

On the outskirts of Perpignan, Saint Cyprien is another member of the Aqualand family, and just a short trip down the road from our Mar Estang holiday village. For the children, there’s the Adventure-Kids zone with Captain Brook’s fortress. For the adults/daredevils, there’s Snake Canyon, Anaconda and The Wave to give you plenty of thrills, spills, twists and turns. You can recuperate with the slightly more laidback Congo River ride as you float gently through its tropical setting.

6/ O'Gliss Water Park

An hour’s drive from Le Bois Masson and Le Bois DormantO’Gliss makes up for the travel time by being absolutely massive. So huge that the park is a whole universe unto itself, split into six different zones including ‘Sunset Beach’ and the futuristic ‘Space Delirium’ area. There really is something for everyone, from the youngest kids to the oldest adults; a tapas bar and daily foam parties featuring alongside a pirate tower. If you feel like pushing the boat out, you can hire one of the cocoons in the VIP area to base yourselves in for the day.

7/ Aquasplash Antibes

With more than 2,000 metres of slides, Aquasplash is one of the biggest water parks on the French Riviera. Less than an hour from Le Montourey, the park caters particularly well for families with smaller children, boasting both a dedicated kid’s pool and a spectacular ‘Isle of Pirates’, as well as the Lazy River, described as a universe dedicated entirely to children! Never fear, however; full-size thrill rides such as the Turbolance and Sidewinder ensure that the whole family will be entertained. Aquadance classes held in the pool each afternoon will give you the chance to feel virtuous if you’ve overindulged during your holiday!.

8/ Atlantic Park Seignosse

Halfway between Les Dunes des Contis and Biarritz, Atlantic Park has almost 3,000 square metres of swimming pool (constantly heated to a temperate 27º) and 1,400 metres of water slides. The park may be on the smaller side, but it has plenty of charm as a result, and there are more than enough white-knuckle rides to make a visit worthwhile, often with significantly less queueing than at the bigger venues. Everyone is catered for, whether you want to fly down the ‘Super Kamikaze’ or relax on a sun lounger, and there’s even park-wide free wi-fi!

9/ AquaPark Biscarrosse

AquaPark is the largest inflatable water park in the world. Stretching out from the shore of a lake in Biscarosse, half an hour from our La Reserve holiday village, the attractions include a giant catapult, climbing wall, water ziplines and the Great Waterjump – a giant toboggan slide that ends with a splash! Once a week, the park is illuminated for a special night-time event, with prizes up for grabs, and 5-8 year olds are welcome on Wednesday and Friday mornings throughout the season. Sessions are charged by the hour, with some of the bigger attractions requiring an extra fee.

10/ Frenzy Palace

There are water slides, and plenty of them. The key selling point is that, as well as the standard slip’n’slide method of entering the water, you also have the option to jump in on a bodyboard, or a snowboard, or even a BMX bike! Perfect for those with slightly older children, Frenzy Palace is less than a 15-minute drive from Mar Estang.

11/ Ileo Parc Aquatique

Ileo aquatic park is situated on the island of Oléron just a 20 minute drive from Mer et Soleil d'Oléon holiday park and less than 45 minutes drive from three of our other holiday villages in the Charente-Maritime. The park itself has plenty to offer such as the selection of exciting water slides that you might expect, but also a wave pool and a surf simulator. On top of that, you can access their indoor sport and leisure area, which includes a 25-metre sports pool with five lanes, as well as the ‘Balneo’ spa area, which boasts a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, cold bath and other treatments for relaxation and rehabilitation.
