beautiful mobile, lovely weather

Everything was fine. Especially it was nice to have the Beach so close to the camping site. The only inconvinience was the fact that almost every employe spoke very poor english. We have visited several of your campsites and this was by far place where most People could not speak english.
Rainer
We was now the 8'th time in 10 years at Mar Estang. It is like coming home. Be sure, we will come back.

I hated this campsite. I stayed with Siblu many times before, in various regions, all sites were pleasurable. Mar Estang is by far a terrible site. Too much party atmosphere, loud music from cramped up caravans so no privacy at all! Securities think they are gods there, smoking, spitting! They came into my caravan following my complaint about the AC without consideration on COVID-19, not wearing masks etc.
Awful stay. The view of the sea was beautiful, but apart from that, I don’t recommend this site at all.
Andrew Simpson
The campsite is in a wonderful position, close to amenities yet far enough away to be peaceful. The site is kept to a very high standard of cleanliness, the staff are some of the friendliest we have experienced and we would visit again and recommend to family & friends

Very impressed with the site and helpful staff. Only disappointment was the games room not being open.
Claire
Loved Mar Estang. Staff were all very helpful and welcoming. Facilities and entertainment was great. Pool great. Only issue for me was the toilets in the pool area and the Sports bar were horrible and smelt. Think they need improvement but otherwise a great holiday.
Alison
This was a very different site to the others I have stayed at. I found the bar and eating areas too small for the site and lack of bathroom facilities surprising. I was disappointed the homes were on top of each other. The home was not clean on arrival and the bed linen and towels were old and poor quality and not clean.
Having said all that the staff were superb and the overall experience was good.
The location of the site was amazing and the beaches were beautiful

Mar Estang is an excellent park. It is a magical place, where I met my partner 32 years ago, and we now have three children. The welcome was excellent - the staff remained friendly despite my slightly grumpy mood after an 11 hour drive. Being able to walk to the beach is fantastic, The pool complex is excellent and the slides are great fun. The free tennis court is a great feature, the local shops are good value and the food tastes amazing. Canet is still a lovely place, and strolling along the promenade in the evenings is wonderful. I would gladly return. The local area is also beautiful, we visited many local places and really enjoyed our holiday.
Negatives - #Disco# Where is the disco? In the past, Mar Estang had a disco for teenagers. I felt the park would be better with this re introduced. #Caravan# Our caravan on arrival was not suitable for a family and we asked for a different site, which we eventually received (which is also a positive as the staff solved our problem and we are grateful - but as I had specifically asked for the biggest caravan they had while booking, I was not happy with the result). Please don't put a family of five in a caravan with one shower and toilet. #Train# The train into Canet used to be free - now it costs a small fortune every night - this is a shame, and Canet would benefit if the train was free. # Windsurfers# Mar Estang used to have free windsurfers, canoes and pedaloes. You cannot even hire any of these on the beach. Another shame.

Nice campsite, with own pool and sea/beach just outside campsite.

Playgrounds need improving. I think hand towels and T towels and bathroom mats should be provided in mobile home. The mobile home was fantastic, spacious and modern. Very well equipped. Easy check in. Very friendly staff. Thanks
Lynne
We were lucky we were down by the lake and it was very quiet and peaceful. The mobile was lovely but not very well equipped. We had no kettle or teapot and the cups were so small (fine for coffee but us English like tea) Also the pillows were cheap square and made of foam which is very hot 🥵. However we enjoyed the campsite and how convenient it was for the lovely beach.

Lovely clean site, great new modern mobile home with a view of the lake full of pink flamingos!! Great sun sets! Walking to restaurants and beach is easy.. Busy centre is further but you can walk or take the bus/train. No flys!!! as I was worried after seeing previous review and surprisingly little mosquitoes. The sea front is reminiscent of Cannes but a lot less formal! Had some lovely sea food. Beach really nice and clean!

Very pleasant stay , nice bakery shop chipper , didnt eat at restaurant but looked nice , couldnt wear flip flops around pool which was inconvenient as kids got blisters as not used to hot surfaces, but the pool itself and slides were nice , men/boys had to wear tight swimming togs even if only using the pool .
Music was very loud in the bar which it didnt need to be I think ,
Information was poor generally for thw english speaking person . We more stumbled upon things .
Location very good in relation to beach and shopping strip/ restaurants
'Local train' service stop outside campsite.
Staff very helpful on site

A great village in a lovely location that provides all you need for a wonderful holiday. The highlight of our stay was the two shows, the welcome show on Sunday and The Grammy’s on Friday. They were fantastic. The best we have seen at any holiday village.

Bike stands to lock bikes to would be ideal near pool /reception area. More hedging and privacy between mobiles would be lovely.
Loved the idea of being so close to beach, back entrance wonderful and delighted with the bike hire facility. Enjoyed a lovely relaxing holiday thank you.

worst holiday we've been on .Playground was shut every evening at 8 children had no place to play. Playgroend was unsupervised one evening a boy went to burn my girls(7years) hair with a lighter when i went to reception and told what happened the receptionist shrugged her shoulders as if to say what do you want me tp do.I felt it was unsafe young boys spinning around caravan park in cars very dangerous would not recommend this to anyone.

Such a shame we cannot stay again! No provisions for camping cars.!
We have stayed in Mar Estang three times & loved it very much!

Nice van - however no air con so we had to buy our own fans and the electricity kept going off for hours at a time - very annoying.
A very very busy campsite, we couldn’t even get in the pool and when we did it was so stressful as so many people in there you could not keep a proper eye on our children.
Really not to my taste . . More like a hot busier versions of butlins. .

Overall we had a great stay at mar estang, the staff were very friendly and helpful and our kids loved the pools. The only let down was the cleanliness of the public toilets, they really let down the camp, they are unclean, no toilet seats and very smelly. I also think the kids play areas could be improved, especially the one near the beach walkway, the plastic is cracked and could easily cause injury.
GERARD
For my two boys it was disappointing that the football field closed so early. The swimming pools were great and we enjoyed the facilities of the camping and the mobile home very much.

You need to sort out your bar area. I left after one night of a two night stay. Complaining about being purposely over charged is not my problem and banning me from your bar is not on. If anyone has any sense they will go elsewhere.
Welcome to one of the most beautiful aquatic complexes in Siblu: Mar Estang in Languedoc Roussillon. You will have the choice between: the sensational slide, water games and even indoor and outdoor swimming pools! Plus, in low season, the swimming pools are heated!
Oppening time :
April: 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
May, June, September and October: from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
July - August: 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The entire aquatic area is open in July and August. At least 1 pool is open all season and the slides will open from April 20, 2024. Given the persistent drought situation, a prefectural decree has been issued limiting water use. Therefore the water games (splashzone) are currently closed on the campsite.
In the aquatic area, one-piece and two-piece Lycra swimsuits are authorized for women. For men, swim boxers, swim briefs or Lycra jammers only are accepted.
Minimum height alone in the water park slides: 1m20 for the small slide and 1m30 for the large slide

Children's clubs in July and August:
Pirates Club from 4 to 7 years old
Club Barracudas from 8 to 11 years old

A Bubbles Space for children aged 1 to 3 accompanied by a parent is also at your disposal during July and August.

Having a beach-side base means it will be hard to leave this holiday park in the south of France - however there is plenty to fascinating places to explore nearby. The Catalan region in Spain is just 30 minutes away by car. If you like outdoor sports then spend a day on the hiking trails, or perhaps a visit to a local vineyard maybe more to your taste? Collioure, a small picturesque port is great for photos ops, and Saint Cyprien is a popular seaside resort with shops, cafes and restaurants, and a beautiful beach.
