Holidays in Chambord

Château de Chambord is a marvel that attracts many visitors from all over the world every year. And for good reason, this incredible Renaissance castle fascinates with its titanic dimensions and striking architecture. Erected by François 1st in the 16th century to make it his pleasure residence! Château de Chambord has more than 400 rooms, 800 sculptures and no less than 282 chimneys.

The Chambord region is famous for its many vineyards. It all started in 1518 when François 1st ordered the planting of grapes.  You can discover many wine estates near the Dugny campsite and enjoy a beautiful day to taste the local specialities.

Around our campsite near Chambord, the Sologne forest awaits you. Leaving the domain of François 1st, you will find many marked trails for hiking or cycling. You might even come across beavers, called "The teeth of the river" in this region.

The Chambord nature reserve is a haven of peace where native fauna and plants flourish. You will also have a breathtaking view of the Château de Chambord and its surroundings.

The campsite is located near the Perche Regional Park which offers a wide variety of activities such as horse riding, guided tours and hiking trails.

Located just 20 km from Domaine de Dugny, the Royal Castle of Amboise is one of the most beautiful wonders of the Loire. You can admire its splendid gardens and its magnificent interior rooms such as the private apartments of François 1st.
