The Second World War

The Souleuvre viaduct
The Souleuvre Viaduct is a fantastic spot for thrill-seekers and families alike. Experience the excitement of soaring across the valley on the giant zip line or feel the rush of the giant swing that swings you high above the ground. These activities offer stunning views and an adrenaline-packed day out in beautiful Normandy.

Castillon's garden
Discover the Jardin de Castillon, in the valley of the same name. This park, imagined and designed by Colette and Hubert Sainte Beuve, is an incredible place where a garden of scents blends with an oriental garden, via an English garden and an octagonal pool.

The Omaha Beach Memorial Museum
The Omaha Beach Memorial Museum is located on the west coast of Calvados, in Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer. It traces the Landing and its consequences on the military and civil history of the surrounding towns. Explanatory panels, photos and videos provide a better understanding of the stakes and the consequences of the D-Day landings.

The Battery of Longues-sur-Mer
The Battery of Longues-sur-Mer is one of the best preserved German positions of the Landings. It can be visited and through it, you will discover its history, its memories and its reconstruction. A place not to be missed for lovers of military history.
