What's there to do in Calvados ?
The Second World War
Closely linked to the history of the Second World War, Calvados can be discovered through its coastline and its landing beaches. It was here, at dawn on June 6, 1944, that Allied troops landed on the coasts during the War. Deeply marked by this key moment in history, the Calvados region is home to many museums and memorials that retrace Operation Overlord.
The beaches of Normandy are not only synonymous with the landing, they are also intended... for swimming! The sand is fine, the beaches are immense and the tides allow children to discover maritime life while enjoying the beautiful spring and summer weather. Enjoy the beaches thanks to our campsites by the sea.
A beautiful Landscape
Leaving the coast for the countryside of Bessin, the villages spared by the war will offer you beautiful treasures to discover: mansions, fortified farms, abbeys, mills and castles will thus brighten up your journey. It is in these lands full of life that you can also discover the richness of the Calvados terroir.
Culture and Festivities
Camembert molded with a ladle, Bayeux Pig or the famous local brandy, the delights of Calvados will delight your taste buds.
Bayeux, Caen, the Landing Museum, Cabourg, the Omaha Beach Memorial Museum, the American Cemetery, the Longues-sur-Mer Battery, Juno Beach Centre… All these activities are close to our Calvados campsite.

Normandy Landing Beaches
Omaha Beach, Sword Beach, Juno Beach, Gold Beach… The landing beaches are still living witnesses of this immense military operation which freed France.
